Step 1: First thing you want to do while drawing a cat, take a smooth sharpened pencil. Draw alphabet ‘W’ and two small lines going outward. Use a light hand for sketching.
Step 2: For eyes make two closed semi-circles and for a nose, draw elongated V. When you are sketching use light pencil so in a case of error eraser can be used.
Step 3: When you are drawing the cats eye you have to be very observant. Eyes reflect emotions. Cat got attractive eyes. Make convex lens shape. To give angry look to the cat we will add more details later.

Step 9: To give your sketch a final step, add depression and folding lines. For detail work always consult the picture. Add some shading to your Persian cat drawing to give it more dimension and volume. Pick the direction of the light source when shading so that the shadows are consistent with it. Add the value lightly at first, and then gradually build up to the level of darkness that you want. Use long strokes as you shade to emphasize the long hair of the coat. Vary the pressure on your pencil to get different degrees of tonal value. Shading can be time-consuming, so be patient and take breaks. You can add the value to different sections of the body at a time to break up the shading process.
Step 10: Give a shimmer effect to an eye of the cat. We can see that the cat is in a rising posture, add more detail lines and shading. Finalize the sketch lines and erase all necessary lines.
Step 11: For perfection and natural effect, make flairs of hair near the ears.
